Zoobalation!!

Jack's Mamaw and Papaw got him a Zoo Pass for his birthday and it has certainly been a hot spot for us so far this summer. Jack has been to the zoo with Peyton and Lilly, with Mandi, JT and Jackson, with his Grandma and Grandpa Ravenscroft and with his Mamaw and Papaw and his friends Sam, Addison and Stephanie. Jack really seems to enjoy watching the people as much as the animals. The fish are by far his favorite. I think they are the easiest to see. He saw his first dolphin show recently and got pretty excited when they jumped out of the water!

Here Jack is with Lilly and Peyton our neighbors. Jack and Lilly rode in the wagon all day while I followed Peyton around looking at all the animals! The three of them had a great time together.

Peyton even made friends with one of the goats in the Animal Encounters area where the kids can get up close to some of the smaller animals.

We even got to see the tiger on this trip...which is rare...the tiger is usually hiding in the tall grass.

When we went to the zoo with Mandi, JT and Jackson we got to pet an elephant after it had a bath. That was pretty cool. I had never petted an elephant before either! Here's Daddy doing an elephant impersonation while visiting the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa from OK. After going to the zoo, Daddy and Grandma cleaned Jack up with a bath of his own and then the boy passed out. The zoo can wear a boy out!

Giant Cheeto!

Jason sharing a Giant Cheeto with Jack. Will the kid ever learn that you can't put everything in your mouth all at once? Again, he truly is Jason's kid.

Indy meets San Fransico

This June we took Jack on his first trip across country to visit the San Fransico Ravenscrofts. Lucky for us the Oklahoma Ravenscrofts and the LA Ravenscrofts also decided to show up! It was a fun and exciting time for us all.

Once we arrived it was a total kid fest with all four of the little cousins there to play with one another. As you can see, all Ravenscroft kids love books!

Jack enjoyed spending time coloring with Grandpa at the kitchen table.

We all ventured out to enjoy a street fair down on Haight and Ashbury. Emmi was rocking the Hollywood look with her cool sunglasses and laid back look. We all split up and enjoyed the different vendors and wears they had to peddle. Tyler ended up with a pretty cool patch that had a car on it of course! Jack got a taste of his first muffin and Chloe got to see where her mom and dad had their first date.

Back at the house, Jack discovered Uncle Todd's lemon tree and was amazed at how this tree grew little yellow balls for him to play with. He loved being outback swinging and playing with those lemons!

Jack and Emmi picked up where they left off at Christmas and loved rough housing and wrestling with one another. This time Jack was able to be more of a match for her. At Christmas she was able to walk and he wasn't, so his mobility was a little limited and she was able to get away. This time he was able to tackle her...but she didn't seem to mind!

We took all the kids to the California Museum of Sciences. They seemed to like the aquarium part the best. Looking at the colorful fish and other animals was a lot of fun. Here Emmi, Jack, Chloe and Tyler sort of pose for a quick picture. It's hard getting four little ones to sit long enough to snap a picture!

Another quick shot of the foursome outside the Museum. Chloe looks thrilled.

While at the house, Todd and Jen experienced some plumbing problems. The main line going from their house to the sewer cracked and we were out of water and toilet for the rest of the trip! I guess having 10 in one place was a little much! We made the best of it though and took many trips out for the day. We visited John Muir Redwood Forest one day. It was beautiful there.

You can't visit San Fran and not get a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge

We went to Fisherman's Warf one day. Jason had to get some fresh crab while visiting, so Jack got a taste of his first crab leg. Looks like he's going to take after his dad and like seafood. (YUCK!)

Checking out the sea lions at the pier

Just playing around with family is the best part of visiting. I think Jack and Chloe would agree.

Ice Cream Man

Jack got his first taste from the ice cream man tonight! Thank Wally...his best friend next door. Wally is such a softy when it comes to the kids. But I don't see Jack complaining one bit! He
totally enjoyed his red popsicle. He couldn't even wait until he got inside to open it!
